![]() ![]() As for my wife, her recently-published novel was written mostly using this application (she had only discovered it a few months after starting her new novel, she demanded it for her birthday). If CopyWrite had footnote support and some sort of illustration-attachment mechanism, I know of five (including myself) technical writers who would purchase it immediately. I happen to think the notes drawer is the best use of a drawer I've seen in an application yet as it keeps your notes right beside the relevant document. There is a lot of functionality in a very simple design and all of it can be hidden away or brought forth with simple keystrokes at will (their website has some screen shots of the various configurations). Knowing a little something about UI design myself, I have specifically written the authors to compliment them on its elegance. For another, I disagree with the criticism of the UI itself. She swears by CopyWrite for creative writing efforts. Our household consists of two writers (my wife is a novelist). I know because I asked - I am a technical ghostwriter. The developer is aware of this and has assured me that this issue will be addressed in an upcoming version (specifically, the next major version). For one, the current version of CopyWrite is *not* really best suited to technical writing. ![]() ![]() The review posted by "gradus" is a bit harsh.
